Cyber Shock
Cyber Shock was a biweekly column that explored the social,
political, economic and environmental implications of emerging
information technologies. It appeared regularly in the San Francisco
Bay Guardian and irregularly in other alternative newsweeklies.
It was also available from the AlterNet news service. Now is seems very dated,
but at the time the column dealt with emerging issues that weren't getting a
lot of play. Keep in mind that thecolumn launched in January 1995 and the first
Web browser wasn't released to the public until 1994.
