Ole PETERSON was born on 20 February 1880 in Gulbrandsdalen, Norway. He died on 13 November 1967 at the age of 87 in Alexandria, Douglas, Minnesota, United States. From Cheryl and Therese Majorowicz:

Ole (Olaf?) was a farmer who came from Norway. His farm was near Lake Carlos? near Alexandria, Minnesota.

Bill Johnson (stepson of Ole's boy Arthur) spent the summer with Ole at age 12. Bill says Ole kept trying to fix him up with a cute Norwegian girl. Finally Ole taught Bill how to say a phrase in Norwegian that he assured him would melt her heart like butter. Bill finally worked up his nerve and repeated the phrase to the girl, who promptly slapped him in the face.

After Ole retired from farming, he owned a threshing machine. He would take it around to the different farms during harvesting season. It was his responsibility to maintain the thresher and keep the steam engine stoked with coal. The steam engine was like a tractor hitched to the thresher. It had a belt that ran from the engine to turn the thresher.

Ole loved fishing and often took his grandchildren fishing. At 87 when he died, he walked with a cane and still had an accent.
