………to my front door. I'd like to see you standing there…….. moonbeams shining on your face. Look how the ambient moonlight obscures all the stars, and yet a thousand fireflies are glowing in the night. Oh, they're escaping from your pocket! What a strange and wonderful delight!
Welcome to ceara's Little Corner of the World (WideWeb)
Ceara is an ancient,
Gaelic name. It means " woman who carries a spear." I dreamed a myth about the ancient
woman who carried a spear, and I'm writing it down in a Dreambook......I've left it there at the bottom
of this page for you to glimpse at now and then.
Just before I took ceara as my virtual name, I got a fortunate cookie. I should explain that I have a fortune
cookie ritual in which I always take the last, remaining cookie on the plate. I prefer to take this last cookie
with my own hand rather than have it handed to me. ("No! Don't touch it!") My ritual is specific…. everyone else
at the table takes a cookie, and then I, personally, take the last cookie.... reaching for my fortune willingly
yet recognizing that there are no optional cookies from which to choose. Luckily, my dinner companions routinely
indulge my fortune cookie ritual….I guess "in the great scheme of things" fortune cookies are not considered
worthy of much thought…. and, of course, they aren't....usually. But ….on this particular occasion the cookie
yielded the following advice: "Let charm be thy spear and wit thy armour." And it turned out to be a rather
significant fortune cookie for the ceara in me.
Do you know the definition of virtual? Virtual means: Existing in effect if not in fact.
If you think about virtual too much… if you try to classify things into two categories, that is, into
Things Existing in Effect and Things Existing In Fact, you will be in serious danger of boggling your mind.
My personal definition of "virtual" is "having to do with a phenomenon that allows one to touch things they cannot feel and
feel things they cannot touch."
"What would you do without me? Say 'nothing'".
I seem to have done all the talking. However.... if you have a thought to share (and I hope you do), please
leave a note in the guest book.
