 GRAFORD, TEXAS

Welcome to Summer
Scottish Country Barn Dance

(Yep! Out on a small, Boar-goat Ranch! In a real barn!)

Spend the day at J and J Ranch, Palo Pinto County, Texas
Enjoy swimming, wading, rafting, tubing or fishing on the Brazos River
and Badminton, Croquet, Horseshoes
And silly games for the kids (of all ages) – spoon races, egg toss, goat dressing!

Special guests:

Shelagh Macpherson-Noble, Vice President of Clan Macpherson Association, and her husband, Alastair Noble from Haddington, Scotland.

400 Coronados Trail, Graford, Texas 76449
(for your Google, Mapquest or Tom-Tom information)

Dress – very casual – even for the dancing! Please, tennis shoes or boots!
(It is the beginning of the summer! You are in Texas, and it is out in the country! Sand spurs, beggar-lice, and various creepy-crawly things might be around. We have goats, chickens, two horses, barn cats and dogs! The Brazos is a river – not a swimming pool! )

Arrive around noon-ish … or a bit earlier
12:00 hot-dogs and hamburgers
Afternoon - see above and below for activities
5:00 brisket, coleslaw, ranch-beans (salads!)
6:30 – 8:30
Dance to the music of Mimi Rogers and Allison Hicks
Followed by:
Deserts on the “saloon” patio!

* Suitable for those with less experience dancing

** Suitable for those with less experience dancing… BUT get yourself someone experienced to be your partner!

Italics Walk-through in the afternoon between 2:00 – 3:30

We provide the hotdogs, hamburgers, brisket, coleslaw, ranch-beans, bottled water, soft drinks and beer (only for those who have a designated driver,) and music!

Cost of admission: a salad or a desert if you can!

(Please … RSVP to jack@jandjranch.us or 940-664-9902 or 817-233-1018.)

Bring suitable change of clothes for the river, the games and for dancing. A blanket for your picnic, fishing gear, rafts or tubes for the river, and if you have any questions, call or email.
