I am a preacher, a writer, a photographer and a canoeist.

I grew up here on the Jersey Shore, in the town of Toms River, not far from Point Pleasant Beach where our family now lives.

I've studied at Washington College in Maryland (B.A.), Oxford University, Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and the University of St. Andrews (Ph.D.).

Prior to my present position, I served as Assistant Dean and Director of Admissions at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Iowa.

During summer vacation, you're likely to find us not with the crowds on the nearby beaches, but at our "camp" in Jay, New York, in the Adirondacks near Lake Placid (it's available to rent, in case you're interested.)
