Page 4 Art Boutique at 240 North Arch Street showcases paintings by Marycarmen created over a two decade span, from the early 1970s through the early 1990s. Also on exhibit are several doll lines designed by Marycarmen and manufactured in her native country of Spain. Made of porcelain or vinyl, with velvet, satin and lace historical attire, these dolls are a few of the many items she introduced as former Vice President of Lloyderson International Import/Export Ltd. While living in Lancaster from 1978 until 1994, Marycarmen was greatly involved in the art community. Many also may recall her operating Dioh's Café at Franklin and Marshall's College Square, which was decorated with her paintings. As she is no longer a resident of Lancaster city, Marycarmen's local family and friends joined together to bring home this exhibition of her artwork. Now owner of a boutique and fine art shoppe in St. Augustine, Florida, Marycarmen still is a prolific artist, marketing her work to the local community, and to the tourists visiting the beautiful, historic city. Since 2002, she has been appointed as the Honorary Vice-Counsel of Spain in the North region of Florida. On Exhibit April 20 - May 5, 2007 VIEW A SAMPLING OF THIS EXHIBIT BELOW.
