The Coast Guard Auxiliary is the civilian volunteer arm of the U.S. Coast Guard. The 35,000 men and women of the Auxiliary donate their time to make recreational boating safer through boating safety classes, boat safety checks, other public education activities, and safety patrols on the water and in the air.

To serve our customers (our members, the Coast Guard, the boating public) in a supportive inspiring, educational and professional manner. We will support Team Coast Guard on the best and most effective manner that we are capable of doing.  We will inspire and assist our members in reaching the maximum level of training and leadership that they can attain.  We will educate our members and the boating public on safe boating practices to the maximum of our abilities.  We will be professional in everything that we do, and abide by the governing policies established by the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard, always reflecting the Coast Guard core values of Honor, Respect, and devotion to Duty.

Background / History

Division 4 is comprised of six Flotillas with a total of 144 members in the historic Raritan Bay area.  The Division members assist and augment the United States Coast Guard Sector New York South Area of responsibility, also Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook, and Coast Guard Station New York in its non-military, non-law enforcement programs of Boating Education, Vessel Examination, Search and Rescue, Safety Patrols, Aids to Navigation, and Marine Safety and Environmental Protection.

The Division meetings are held every second Thursday of the month at 2000, and we meet at the Woodbridge First Aid and Rescue Squad
