5/14/07; Auxiliarist Alan Reff is honored as the 2006 Jones Beach Auxiliarist of the year. Over the past year,  Mr. Reff has been a fixture in the Communications Center, volunteering more than 476 hours "Standing the Watch". This commitment to excellence includes watch standing over the Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and 4th of July Holidays just to name a few. Congratulations and Thank You.

4/26/07; The crew celebrated with BMCS Coppola (XPO) during a farewell dinner located at Sergio's in Massapequa, NY. BMCS Coppola will be assuming command of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter BELUGA home ported in Little Creek, VA. He leaves Station Jones Beach after a successful tour as the Executive Petty Officer having assumed the duties in June 2004.
