FREE Classes

Our next round of FREE Pit Bull Education classes is scheduled to begin November 14, 2009. Please email chakorescue@gmail.com for more information and to sign up. Class sizes are limited, so please only sign up if you intend to show up (as you will be taking a space away from someone else).

These free classes are TWO weeks long. The first class you will show up WITHOUT your dog. The first class entails detailed information on breed temperament, legal issues that affect Pit Bull owners, and other information relevant to responsible Pit Bull owners.

The second class will entail an introduction to motivation and clicker training. You will bring your dog, and there will be an opportunity for problem-solving.

Low Cost Classes

Classes cover a variety of topics, from breed temperament to basic obedience. Agendas are given in advance of every class. You pay as you show up and you can choose to attend or not attend based on the agenda.
Classes will be held in the Natomas/Rio Linda area (near the border between the two), Thursday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. and lasting 1 hour. If you wish to reserve a space, email us. Classes are currently scheduled to start in December and will cover basic obedience as well as breed-specific ownership and behaviorial tips.

To reserve a spot, simply email me the following information:

• Your name

• Dog's name, age, gender and whether spayed/neutered

• The email to which you'd like to receive agendas

• Your phone number (in case we need to contact last minute for cancellations, etc.)

You pay upon arrival (cash strongly preferred). We will email out the agenda, location, etc. when December classes begin. Please note: One dog per person

Private Evaluations of your Pit Bull

The Chako Rescue Association also offers low cost evaluations of your Pit Bull and living situation. These evaluations are 30 minutes long with a 15 minute consultation. Due to the brevity of the evaluation, this is a superficial evaluation.
