Forever Friends

The dogs below were dumped by their owners or otherwise came to unfortunate circumstances,
when no one else wanted them, the Chako Rescue took them in and gave them a second chance.

Piper came to us from a shelter. Her mother, a young tan and white Pit Bull, was confiscated as an abuse case and got pregnant in the shelter.

Carla Lou was a female dog that spent virtually her entire life in a shelter before she came to us. She was shy and lacked confidence, but she was always a sweetie. At the shelter, she was stolen and then recovered three months later. The shelter workers don't know what happened to her during
that time. When she came to the Chako Rescue in 1998, she'd never even played on grass before. She found a loving and permanent home with a wonderful woman and her family. That woman happens to be Deirdre, founder of Pinups for Pit Bulls!

Eva came to us with Petie (below). She was a very driven girl who found herself a nice home where she excelled in Obedience.

Here's Eva with her new person.

Petie was found as a stray, presumably dumped by his owner. He's loving, smart, and gentle. He currently lives with Misty, an intern on Third Watch.

Woody is a Pit Bull mix found as a stray. He's a happy go-lucky dog and lives in Texas.

Buddy finally found himself a friend!

Bailey was quite a dog! Lots of drive. He found a home in Texas.
