If you wish to surrender a dog, you must live in California and be willing to transport the dog for a temperament evaluation prior to our agreeing to accept the dog into our program. Because we must temperament test our dogs, you should live near one of our foster homes. Most of our foster homes are in Northern California, but we have a few elsewhere (and always need more, so if you want to foster, click the link at the top of the page). We only accept dogs that appear to be purebred American Pit Bull Terriers or American Staffordshire Terriers. To surrender a Pit Bull, you MUST email us with the following information: 1) Dog's approximate age 2) How you came into possession of the dog 3) Where you live (City and State) 4) Your name and phone number 5) A description of the dog's appearance AND temperament 6) Whether the dog is currently spayed or neutered 7) Any known health problems the dog suffers from 8) Any vet care the dog has received 9) Whether you have knowledge that the dog has bitten a person or animal 10) A photo, if possible Email the above information to
chakorescue@gmail.com Note: We do NOT take dogs that have bitten a person. We
may take dogs that are animal aggressive, depending on the severity of
their aggression. |
