This site offers an abbreviated introduction to the Chakra System, applications for meditation and healing using this system, and its relationship to other healing systems. Limited discussion on the origin or history of the Chakra system can be found on the "history of chakras" page. Other pages on this site include: "chakra meditation", which describes methods of meditation on the seven major chakras; "auras and chakras", offering discussion on chakras, auras, energy and color in general; "chakras and crystal healing" describing things like the ancient art of laying on stones, balancing the chakras using crystals, etc.; "other systems and chakras" which discusses the relationship between the chakra system and Taoist internal alchemy beliefs among other things; and "sounds and the chakras" offering discussion on sounds associated with the seven major chakras. The colored mandalas above are links to a brief description of each of the seven major chakras. The first, red mandala is a link to the root chakra page. The second, orange mandala is a link to the sacral chakra page, etc.
