Chesed is the fourth sefirot and the first of the three sefirots that deal with emotions. It is lovingkindness,
our desire to embrace the universe and spread love and goodness. According to the Zohar, chesed was the first
the first day of creation for that day was the day of lovingkindness and chesed is apart of all of the days
of creation that follow.
Chesed is the "right arm" and in its spiritual state, chesed is love. Its companion is gevurah or might. The
left arm of the emotional division or judgement and when combined chesed and gevurah restrain our urge to spread
love and goodness to those who will use it to harm.
