A symbolic representation of the Jewish tree of life with the ten sefirot, seven levels, and the 22 paths
located within the human body is pictured below. Just as the Vedas describe the chakras as wheels of light, the Kabbalah*
describes the sefirots as cosmic in nature.

Correlations between the seven levels and the chakras are as follow:
|
| Chakra |
Level |
Sefirot |
| Sahasrara |
crown or above the head |
Keter |
| Ajna |
brow or 3rd eye |
Binah and Chokhmah |
| Vishuddha |
throat |
Gevurah and Chesed |
| Ahanhata |
heart |
Tiferet |
| Manipura |
navel |
Hod and Netzach |
| Svadhisthana |
genitals |
Yesod |
| Muladhara |
base of spine |
Malkhut |
There are three divisions of the ten sefirots. The first is conjunctive in nature and consists of binah, chokhmah and keter.
The second is emotional in nature and consists of tiferet, gevurah and chesed. The third is instinctual or pragmatic
in nature and consists of yesod, hod and netzach. Malkhut is independent and contains energies of the other nine. And much
like the concept of the kundalini, keter is linked to malkhut - the first to the last. These are the stages one must go
through to reach the divine. For a brief description of each of the ten sefirot, click within its yellow circle
on the diagram above.
*Kabbalah has a number of spellings including: Cabala, Kabala, and Kabbala.
