June 12, 2005 -  On Friday night, John W raised the roof at a coffeehouse in nearby Snohomish with his solo guitar music. Its sort of like jazz, but not really.  Check the music link above and you'll see what I mean.  Seattle is arguably the center of the coffee drinking world, vying with Vienna, Venice and Istanbul. This particular gig was a real moneymaker, by John's standards.  The house was packed and the grateful fans bought 18 of his homemade CDs at ten bucks apiece.  Saturday night at a Mountaineers celebration netted another $70.  A couple of nice paydays for a struggling young artist.  Its gratifying to see your son starting to make it in the music business   I can't think of a more difficult career track to enter right out of college..  Thank the Lord for music lovers.
