These recipes were collected over a number of years and from many sources. A few are from a hundred or so books left to me by my dear friend, Doris Ketner, who died in September of 2005, after a lengthy battle with cancer. I have barely scratched the surface of her treasured collection.

Some of Mama's favorites are here too, and there's a wine recipe that came from Germany with Grandma Frieda in 1891. Every time I prepare their recipes, these loved ones return to my kitchen.
