Voices of Poetry

Well known and less well known poets read their own work. With portrait, introduction, and the text of the poem. Some of the poets have an audio introduction.

This is purely entertainment. For more information about the lives and work of the poets, see the Web, e.g. POETS.org or Poetry Foundation, and the library.

There are thousands of good poets and millions of good poems. These few were selected because the poems were available on the web in audio, they were fairly brief, and hopefully they were interesting or entertaining. They don't necessarily represent the poet's best work. This list will grow. 9/10
