Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2011-2012 St. Charles East Girls Basketball Season! As a parent of a STCE player, you are automatically a member of the STCE Girls Basketball Boosters Club. The Boosters provide financial and moral support to the program by coordinating various activities during the season. We need ALL parents’ participation to continue the success and carry on the winning Tradition!

Here's how you can get involved with your daughter’s team:

FUNDRAISERS – These help offset the team costs of Summer Tournaments, Coaches Clinics, Summer Team Camps, Senior Night Dinner, Uniforms, Warm Ups, and Travel Bags.

Carson Community Days – Each player will be asked to sell a minimum of 10 coupon books for $5 each and we will receive the entire $5. The coupon books feature a variety of coupons including a $10 coupon for any item over $10 (up to 5 coupons can be used per transaction).

Buffalo Wild Wings Home Team Advantage Card – During the season when a food purchase is made at BWW and a Teammate Card is shown, our team will earn 10% of the food purchase sales. The Team Card is good for use at the Geneva Commons BWW.

Basketball Program Ads – Again this year the STCE Girls & Boys Basketball Teams will have a collective program where parents will have the opportunity to purchase a $25 personal ad for your player. Also, if you have or know of a local business that would like to advertise in our program, it’s a great way to support the team and give the business good local exposure, those advertisements range in cost from $50 - $350.

Zanies Comedy Night – We will be hosting a Comedy Night at Zanies and we will be selling tickets, more details to follow.

JAW’S Carwash – We will have the opportunity to sell JAW’s Carwash booklets mid season, more details to follow.

STCE Central Boosters Concession Stand Assignments – The STCE Central Boosters awards each team approximately $500 to help with annual expenses. In return, each team is required to supply parent volunteers to work the concession stands at 5 athletic events. If we do not work our assigned events, we are fined $100 per event. Parents at each level are assigned approximately 2 events. Parent participation is mandatory. A schedule for your assignment is included in your packet. If you are unable to work the event you are assigned, you are responsible to find a replacement. Please contact Laurie Kolker at lkolker23@comcast.net

Storm Girls Basketball Tournament – We host the Girl’s 8th Grade Storm Invitationa. The Boosters sell concessions and collect entrance fees to the tournament. This is one of our largest fundraisers of the season.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Team Pasta Nights – Team families host a pasta night in their homes the night before some of the home games. Your Team Parent will coordinate these dates with your team.

Support The Troops Night

Teacher Appreciation Night

Team Senior Night – A celebration of our Varsity Team Senior. The celebration continues with a team dinner for all players and their parents immediately following the game at Giordano’s Pizza in St. Charles.

Season Ending Banquet – Our end of the season banquet will take place in March, in the STCE Cafeteria with Team presentations immediately following in the Norris Cultural Arts Center.
