Half a world away
When John Mark Karr (who must be a killer because he has three names) confessed in Thailand to killing JonBenet Ramsey in Colorado in 1996, Thailand was described as being "half a world away" (for instance here and here.)
Where would he have had to have been to be a whole world away?
