Christine Gianacaci went to Haiti on a “Journey of Hope” with a small group of students and two professors from her college, Lynn University.
She went to help those less fortunate; tragically, the earthquake caused the untimely loss of Christine at twenty-two years old on January 12, 2010. She was in Haiti on a mission not only to feed the poor but to also help children, which was her passion. Christine’s Hope for Kids Foundation was created as a long term commitment to help deserving children; to positively impact a child’s life; and to keep Christine’s dream and generous spirit alive. It is now our obligation through the foundation, to continue her dream of helping children in need and children with differences.
We members of Chik-A-Boom lost a member of our extended family in the earthquake which devestated
Haiti and are contributing in all the ways we can to keeping her memory and spirit of helping alive.
