Sailing

I grew up in Essex, Connecticut and as anyone who has kicked around the east coast knows it is pretty tough to not get involved in boats if you are from that area.

My first boat was a 10 footer with a variety of engines. My first sailboat was a wooden Amesbury Dory that I paid just $1.00 for (including a wood trailer and sails).
In 1971 I began sailing a friends 19 foot O'Day to the Vineyard each summer.

In 1982 bought my first Cape Dory, a Typhoon. This was followed by a Cape Dory 25 and then a Cape Dory 27 "Nord  *  Star"  that was my pride and joy for almost 10 seasons.  Sadly I sold her this in 1997 because I just could not use her enough .   I then bought another Amesbury Dory, only this time it was fiberglass and cost much more the $1.00

I recently sold it and purchased an Allied Pompano 21 a neat little 21 foot lobster style boat with a 75 hp diesel.

This boat is for sale. Click here for more information
