John Walden
John Walden is my great grandfather, whom I never knew. He was the husband of Rose Walden, whom I knew as a child. John homestead the 1,000 acre ranch on Weston Mountain that my mother was born on. The children of John and Rose all lived on the ranch at various times.
John Walden is buried in the old pioneer cemetery in Weston Oregon. His mother, Sarah Cummins, is buried nearby.
We may have a photo of John and Rose in their early days. I see in my notes somewhere that Aunt Rose Purcell said that Nathan though he hada photo of John Walden, but that it actually was not John Walden. So this may be the photo that Rose Purcell is disputing.
