Walden Family
My mother, Verna Lucille (Walden) McCubbin, born August 30, 1929, in Weston, Oregon and died in Los Gatos California, July 21,1999, was my introduction into the Walden family. Much of the history of my family that I learned in my childhood, comes from her, and from other Waldens and their descendants.
My father, Chester Harold McCubbin, born March 12, 1925, in Cross Timbers, Missouri and died in Los Gatos, California, June 30, 2003, left most of his relatives behind in Missouri when he married my mother in Milton-Freewater, Oregon on October 2, 1947.
I've been to Missouri three times in my childhood and met many of the relatives, but don't know the history of the McCubbin family as well. I am hopeful that more of that information will come to me eventually, and that it will constitute a lot more information being delivered on this website.
For now, though, I'm in the business of capturing more about the Waldens. Their history in Oregon is really big.
