Thursday, October 18 7:00 PM Navajo Room	Regular Meeting. Speaker, Adam Block of the National Optical Astronomy Observatory, "Dances with Lx 200s". Adam, who is a telescope operator on Kitt Peak, will talk about the "nuts and bolts" of telescope mechanics and optics, plus the enhancements obtained using modern opto-electronic devices. Wednesday, November 7, 5:30 PM, Catalina State Park	NOTE DATE CHANGE Star Party. Bring your own brown-bag dinner; charcoal and ice provided by club. Bring telescopes and binoculars. If you don’t have any, there will be plenty of opportunity to view from others’.
Thursday, November 15, 7:00 PM, Navajo Room	Regular Meeting. Speaker, Br. Guy Consolmagno, Vatican Observatory, "News from the Asteroid Belt".
Friday, November 16 7:00 AM Mt. Hopkins	Field Trip. Tour of the MMT (Multi-Mirror Telescope) at the Whipple Observatory on Mt. Hopkins. Car pools leave from back of New Administration Building at 7:00 AM. Tour program starts at 9:00 AM with a film. Buses to go up the mountain at 9:30 AM and return to the base camp at 3:00 PM. Reservations required. Cost is $7.00 per person. The cut-off date is October 26. There can be no refunds after that date. Thursday, January 17 7:00 PM Navajo Room	Regular Meeting. Dr. Jeff Mangum, NRAO (National Radio Astronomy Observatory). "The Universe through Radio Eyes". The talk will concentrate on the kinds of astronomical studies that are done using radio wavelength observations of the physical universe.
Thursday, February 21 7:00 PM Navajo Room	Regular Meeting. Speaker, Dr. Arthur Code, NOAO (National Optical Astronomy Observatory), "The Hubble Space Telescope: Window to the Universe". Appointment of Nominating Committee Chair.
Thursday, March 14 6:00 PM Catalina State Park	Annual Star Party and Barbecue. Reservations required. Other details to be announced.
