Dr. Wehinger will bring us up to date on:

• The commissioning the LBT (Large Binocular Telescope)

• The progress on the GMT (Giant Magellan Telescope)

• The grinding and polishing of the first of seven 8.4-m mirrors

• The casting of the LSST ( Large Synoptic Survey Telescope) primary/tertiary mirror.
