Chinese Communists produce more Bibles than anyone else: Christian cash cow pushes Chinese publisher into the forefront of printing industry: "Screw Christianity," said the local manager, "we make big profits out of this rubbish, so why not print it."  Most of the Bibles (which are State sanctioned and so they may not be what Christians in other parts of the world are expecting) are sent to Chinese government sanctioned churches with state appointed priests and state appointed bishops.  The truth is that Christianity and Communism are not that far apart - they both subordinate the will of the individual to the will of the masses and their self appointed leaders (bishops, gods, presidents, whatever).  See: Communist Chinese Bibles.

 

 

Obama Follows Bush:  Obama, sucking up to Evangelicals and other theist groups, has agreed to continue to maintain the Bush "Faith-based initiatives".  Obama says that he supports the wall, but how can he advocate paying for for faith-based programs and support the separation of church and state?  See: Obama and Faith-based Initiatives.

 

 

Australians to Protest Against the Pope:  The Pope is scheduled to visit Australia to address the World Youth Conference in July. Australian Atheists, among others are planning a protest against the Pope's bigotry, homophobia, opposition to condom use, and same sex marriage.
