What's Really Going on Chris?

It's a Bert and Agnes episode. Dave is in the beginning when Agnes asks him for a raise, and in the end when he gives it to her. Over the weekend Mrs DiPesto comes to town. Someone is following her and ransacks her apartment. Bert and Agnes start investigating. They argue about Agnes asking her mother to move in with her. They solve the case and Agnes' mother goes home. I could tell you more about it, but it's a Bert and Agnes episode, do you really care?

Chris's Obsessive Analysis

The only thing to analyze is David's comment at the end about family. He's referring to Agnes and her mom, but also to his decision to stick it out and try to make it work with Maddie. It's kind of interesting to see what the writers do with Bert and Agnes in this episode. Bert and Agnes have a fight in the car, a fine-fine-good-good exchange, and even attempt some banter. Unfortunately, for us anyway, it doesn't really work. It's just not the same as Maddie and Dave.
