Memorable Moments
- The entire episode!!!! Although this episode has nothing to do with Maddie, Dave or Blue Moon it is brillant. Cybill Shepherd plays a "Maddie-like" Katarina and Bruce Willis plays a "David-like" Petruchio in a spoof of Franco Zepherelli's 1967 "Taming of the Shrew" starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. This episode is "Moonlighting" at it's creative and wittiest best. Reno and Osborn did an incredible job writing this adaptation of Shakespeare and it is a travesty they did not win an Emmy for it. Whoever won that year surely did not write an episode as well remembered and acclaimed. This is the most talked about, remembered and asked for episode of the run. Even people who didn't like "Moonlighting" (yes I guess there must have been a few -somewhere) watched and liked this episode.
"Moonlighting liked to push the creative envelope and dared ABC to be different. A show in black and white, a musical and now Shakespeare in prime time! "Moonlighting" never condescended to it's audience. They respected their audience as intelligent and wrote and produced the show that way. They knew we'd appreciate it and we do -thank you! Now turn off your computer and go watch this episode, I promise you won't regret it. I also highly recommend going to Brian's page, he does a great job with this episode.
- The opening and ending sequences with the mother and son, hysterical!
