Earl Moore - Reliever and spot starter nearing the end of a fine 14 year career. As a starter with the Indians and then the Phils he had a 162-154 career record and a 2.78 ERA. Led the AL in ERA in 1903. In 1910 he led the NL in strike outs and shut-outs.
Dan Howley - 27 year-old reserve catcher in his only big league year, perhaps due to a .125 batting average in 30 AB. Later managed the Browns and Reds from 1927-1932 with only slightly more success (a .431 winning percentage).
Ralph Capron - outfielder who got into 2 games.... twice as many as the year before. His only two years in the majors.
Dode Paskert - starting OF who played 15 seasons with the Reds, Phils and Cubs. One of the best centerfielders of his day. Was coming off his best year in the majors hitting .315 in 1912. Got into two WS.
Cozy Dolan - reserve infielder/outfielder who also played with the Pirates in 1913. Played in seven seasons with a total of six clubs.
Pete Alexander - in only his third year in the majors, he had already won 69 games with the Phils. Pitched in 20 seasons with the Phils, Cubs and Cards putting up a 373-208 record and a 2.56 ERA. Led the NL in wins, complete games and strike-outs six times each, in ERA five times and in shut-outs seven.
Sherry Magee - great starting OF who played 14 seasons for the Phils, Braves and Reds accumulating 2,169 hits and a career .291 average. Also an excellent base stealer, he's 49th on the all-time list. Led the NL in batting in 1910 and in RBIs four times.
Mickey Doolan - The Phils' starting SS for nine years before he skipped to the Federal League. Returned for two more years in the bigs. In 1912 was one of four VPs of the Players' Fraternity.
Doc Miller - reserve OF in 1913 who was winding down a career in which he hit .295 for four clubs in five season. Second in the NL in hitting in 1911 to Honus Wagner by one point.
Jimmy Walsh - reserve IF/OF in the last of four seasons with the Phils. He would jump to Federal League and star but never return to the bigs.
Red Dooin - caught in 13 seasons for the Phils and served as their manager for five of them including 1913 when they would finish 2nd in the NL to the Giants.

George Chalmers - Pitched (starter and reliever) for seven seasons in the bigs, all with the Phils.
Bill Killefer - starting catcher who was a reserve with the Browns early in his 13-year career. Moved to the Cubs with Pete Alexander as a starter for the last four. Signed with the Federal League but returned to the Phils when they matched it. Would later manage in nine seasons witht he Cubs and Browns.
Hans Lobert - starting 3b who put together 14 big league seasons. One of the fastest players of his day. Managed the Phillies in 1942.
Fred Luderus - power-hitting starting 1b who played in 12 big league seasons.
Tom Seaton - knuckleballing pitcher who led the NL in innings, strike-outs and wins in 1913. Then would skip to the Federal League. Returned for two uneventful seasons witht he Cubs.
Eppa Rixey - 2nd year starting pitcher who went on to pitch 21 seasons for the Phils and Reds compiling a 266-251 record and a 3.15 ERA. Led the NL in wins in 1922. He also led the NL in losses twice.
John Dodge - second year rookie SS who was traded to the Reds early in the season. Those would be his only two years in the majors. In 1916 he was hit in the face during a Southern League game and died the next day.
Ad Brennan - a starter in his fourth years as a Phillies pitcher he led the team with 2.39 ERA (4th in the NL). Skipped to the Federal League in 1914 but would have limited success there.
Erskine Mayer - a second year rookie in 1913 as a starter/reliever. Would win 21 games in each of his next two seasons with the Phils. Finished his career with a fine 91-70 record and a 2.96 ERA.
Pat Moran - winding up a 14 season career as a catcher, he played in only one game in both 1913 and 1914. Then became the Phillies manager in 1915 and took them to the WS. Managed Philly for four years before becoming the Reds manager the next five years including a tainted World Championship in 1919. Career .561 winning percentage.
Otto Knabe - starting 2b for seven season with the Phils before jumping to the Federals as a player/manager with the Baltimore club.
