New Acquisition

Well I had the good fortune to pick up another 560SEC.  It was in fairly good shape, very low mileage,  no rust, runs well, no smoke, idles at the right speed, suspension good, but the front seats backs were missing (strange)...  The other thing, a previous owner painted the  whole car a hideous shade of gold with an almost yellow interior.. That was one thing I couldn't live with.  The car was originally black and interior was gray, so I immediately sent it off to be repainted and interior reconditioned and re-dyed to gray...   I had the grill, lower body panels and bumper covers painted back to gray.

Surprisingly, it only took a couple of days and I'm very pleased with the results. 

I still have a few things to do:
 -  Replace the rear taillight lenses (they're orange, is that a Euro thing???).
 -  I don't care for the chrome wheels, they'll be replaced.  
 -  Install one-touch window modules (after I get some door glass).
 -  Install first-gear start.
 -  Install Euro Headlights
 -  Maybe I'll lower it, but I kind of like that hi-ride... 
 -  Oh, can't forget the tunes, a nice MP3 in-dash player...

But for now it'll do...
