Coleman sold this unit as a spot heater that could also be used for light cooking
purposes. To use for cooking the dish would lock pointing up. You could place cookware on the wire guard
that is missing on this example.
You may see alot of brass in this museum. Coleman to my knowledge never left a fount brass. They were
either nickel plated or painted. Back in the day brass was a more commonly used metal. Steel alloys had not been
perfected. Brass was seen as a bare metal that had to be polished often.
