Weird-Oh Models (Hawk 1963)

While "Big Daddy Roth" and his line of weird car kits are the undisputed originators of   the Monster Rod model line, I always preferred the even stranger kits put out by Hawk in the 1960's. Those were the days of muscle cars and wild customizing jobs. These have been reissued recently, you might find a few still on the store shelves.

I pulled these off the top shelf, blew off the thick layer of dust, and decided they were just too neat to ignore. These were built in my gloss enamel days, but even today I'd probably give them the same look. They were meant to be cartoonish.
