1973 Life-Like Kit (from Pyro molds)

The prehistoric has always been a fascination of children and adults alike.  Model companies knew this, of course, and produced some pretty accurate models, including a lot of dinosaurs and a few cavemen.

This model has "Pyro, 1971" on the base, but it was actually sold by the Life-Like company in 1973 after they bought all the molds when Pyro went out of business.  Actually I've never seen this one in a Pyro box, this might be a model that the original company never got around to releasing.  When model companies die or decide to concentrate on another product, these molds often get sold to another company.
