I didn't find my love for Bobbin Lace until August of 2000. I saw the lace makers at Nostalgia Days downtown Morris that year. After all the other thread hobbies I love, this one just seemed like the natural next step. Little did I know how much I would love the feel of the bobbins or how much I enjoy seeing the pattern develop on the pricking.
I first began by trying to study on my own. However, since I have found Judith, my lace intructor, I have improved more quickly. Here are a few of my best pieces.

Torchon Square MatTorchon Lace Panel
This panel insertion piece is 6.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. It is worked in Eagle Cotton Thread Size 40 with DMC Pearl #8. This piece was part of the Torchon Progression Course. I was given some design options and named it "Twin Mountains." The Honeycomb insert through the middle was a fun challenge.
