CRAFTS

An all encompassing word, which I have reserved to use on those passing fancy's, the things that come and go, such as calligraphy, and watercolor, oil painting.  Most likely things that I didn't do so well or which didn't hold my attention very long.

One of  the new ones is Iris Paper folding.  This was introducted at the L.A.C.E. Guild meeting in February.  Being leary of starting a new "Craft" or art form, I just watched....but finally as I was walking out I asked K.J. to just let me have the pattern.  At home, browsing the internet and looking at those patterns, I finally gave in.

Here is my result.

This is my first effort.  I used pages from Good Housekeeping magazine as my paper strips.... The colors available were amazing.  However, folded pages from magazines rub sort of white when creased...so I wasn't as happy with the final result as I thought I would be.  This would work as a 4 X 5 card if you covered the back so the folded strips did not show.
