Teen
Grief Support
Lots
of children and teens have experienced the death of
someone close to them. Hopefully these sites can help you
through the hard times
More
than 20 years ago, nurse Beverly Chappell met
Dougy Turno, a 9-year-old boy who was hospitalized for
a brain tumor. Although the tumor would ultimately take
his life, Dougy lived his life fully, showing Bev that children,
by listening and talking, could help other children in ways
that adults could not.
In Dougys memory, Bev envisioned a safe place where
children, teens and their families grieving a death could
share and support each other in their journeys of loss.

KIDSAID is a safe place for kids to share and to help each
other deal with grief about any of their losses. It's a place to
share and deal with feelings, to show artwork and stories, to
talk to one's peers. http://kidsaid.com
