Generation No. 1

1.	Thomas RAY was born in 1780 in Greene, Maine. He married the former Elthia HATCH on 1 March 1802 in Greene, Maine. Elthia was born in 1781 in Greene, Maine. Together they had six children. Thomas passed away on 6 January 1835 at the age of 55 and Elthia passed away on 14 April 1871 at the age of 90. Thomas is buried in the Peare Cemetery in Greene, Maine.

	*	2.	i.	Reuben RAY was born on 16 October 1807 in Lewiston, Maine and died on 5 March 1906.
		3.	ii.	Ruth Hatch RAY was born on 31 January 1809 and died on 4 October 1884.
		4.	iii.	Mary RAY was born around January 1811 and died on 6 August 1829. She is buried in the Peare Cemetery, Greene, Maine.
		5.	iv.	Sarah RAY was born around April 1814 and died on 31 January 1838. She is buried in the Peare Cemetery, Greene, Maine.
		6.	v.	William RAY was born on 18 June 1816 and died on 23 February 1877.
		7.	vi.	Thomas RAY, Jr was born on 4 July 1820 and died on 20 September 1895.

Generation No. 2

2.	Reuben RAY was born on 16 October 1807 in Lewiston, Androscoggin Co., Maine. When he was 29 years old he married the former Ann CHESLEY on 24 September 1836. Ann was born on 26 December 1807 in Rome, Maine. In his younger years of manhood he tipped the scales at two hundred fifty pounds and was a strong muscular athletic self-taught cabinet-maker. He also was a laborer and farmer. He had claimed that his health was due to his temperate habits. He lived in Lisbon, Maine, one mile or so on the Lewiston Road from Lewiston. Together they had five children. Ann passed away around 1865 at the age of 57. Reuben died in Greene, Maine of senility on 5 March 1906 at the ripe old age of 98 years, 4 months and 17 days.
	Children of Reuben RAY and Ann CHESLEY are:
	*	8.	i.	Daniel H. RAY was born on 18 November 1837. He was married on 12 March 1862 to Laura E. M. HARMON. She was born in 1844 and died on 20 June 1921.
		9.	ii.	Mary Ann RAY was born on 26 March 1839 and died 16 March 1854 in Greene, Maine.
		10.	iii.	Elbridge Wellington RAY was born on 15 June 1841 and died around 1895. He was married on 11 May 1862 to Jennie HAMMOND.
		11.	iv.	Rhoda F. RAY was born on 14 April 1846. She was married on 26 October 1867 to Calvin G. ESTES of Lewiston.
		12.	v.	Sophrona RAY died on 17 April 1846 in Greene, Maine.
3.	Ruth Hatch RAY was born on 31 January 1809. She was married on 26 June 1831 to Benjamin Mace LAYNE. He was born on 25 December 1808. Together they had four children. Ruth passed away on 4 October 1884.
	Children of Ruth Hatch RAY and Benjamin LAYNE are:
		13.	i.	Lavinia Adelin LAYNE was born 1 April 1833.
		14.	ii.	John Dexter LAYNE was born 23 November 1834
		15.	iii.	Lydia Ellen LAYNE was born 12 November 1838
		16.	iv.	Mary Eveline LAYNE was born 16 April 1841.
6.	William RAY was born on 18 June 1816. He was married to the former Lorana SPRAGUE on 14 October 1855. Lorana was born on 22 August 1822. Together they had two children. She passed away on 26 December 1903 and William passed away on 23 February 1877. Both William and Lorana are buried at the Peare Cemetery, Greene, Maine.
	Children of William RAY and Lorana SPRAGUE are:
		17.	i.	Cordelia E. RAY was born on 7 July 1857.
		18.	ii.	Herbert Lesley RAY was born on 19 December 1859. He was married to Mary A. MCKINNEY on 25 March 1905 in Greene, Maine. She was born in 1866 and died in 1941. He died on 8 April 1919 after committing suicide. Both are buried at the Peare Cemetery, Greene, Maine.
7.	Thomas RAY, Jr. was born on 4 July 1820. The couple filed their intentions on 13 November 1842 and Thomas married Lucy GRAY on 26 January 1843 at St. Albans, Vermont. Lucy was born 27 October 1824 in Greene, Maine. Together they had five children. Thomas died on 20 September 1895 and Lucy died on 16 March 1905.

		19.	i.	Thomas Alden RAY was born 7 November 1843.
		20.	ii.	James Alden RAY was born 2 May 1850.
		21.	iii.	Annie Althea RAY was born 22 December 1853.
		22.	iv.	Jesse Everett RAY was born 2 December 1854.
		23.	v.	George Walter RAY was born 2 November 1861.

Generation No. 3

8.	Daniel H. RAY was born on 18 November 1837. He later married Laura E. HARMON on 12 March 1862. She was born in 1844. Together they had four children. Laura passed away on 20 June 1921.
	Children of Daniel H. RAY and Laura E. HARMON are:
		24.	i.	Charlie W. RAY was born in 1865.
	*	25.	ii.	Edgar Ellsworth RAY was born in 1867 and died on 4 July 1921.
		26.	iii.	Lauretta L. RAY was born in 1869 and died on 19 September 1951.
		27.	iv.	Albert E. RAY died on 20 April 1926.

Generation No. 4

25.	Edgar Ellsworth RAY, Sr. was born in 1867 in Maine. He married the former Vesta Mabel SPRAGUE on 24 November 1891. She was born around 1872 in Greene, Maine to the parents of Jefferson SPRAGUE and Celestia Ann WILKINS. Together they had seven children. Her date of death is currently unknown. Edgar passed away on 4 July 1921 at the age of 54.

		28.	i.	Erwin Montell RAY was born on 18 December 1892 in Sabattus, Maine. His World War I Registration Card.
		29.	ii.	Helen E. RAY was born in 1898.
		30.	iii.	Hanson Leland RAY was born on 29 May 1900 and passed away on 30 June 1968 in Waterford, Maine. His World War I Registration Card
		31.	iv.	Lawrence J. RAY was born in 1904 and died on 20 September 1992 in Lewiston, Maine.
		32.	v.	Walter S. RAY was born in 1906 and died on 21 February 1973 in Bridgton, Maine.
		33.	vi.	Alfred C. RAY was born in 1909 and died on 2 May 1972.
	*	34.	vii.	Edgar Ellsworth RAY, Jr was born on 31 October 1910 and died on 3 July 1972 in Auburn, Maine.

Generation No. 5

34.	Edgar Ellsworth RAY, Jr. was born on 31 October 1910 in Greene, Maine. He was later married on 19 May 1937 to Ruth Beatrice ABBOTT. Together they had two children. He passed away on 3 July 1972 in Auburn, Maine at the age of 61. Ruth would remarry to Kendrick J. Chapman on 10 January 1987. Kendrick passed away in 2003 and Ruth passed away in 2007 at the age of 91. Both Ruth and Edgar are buried in the Gracelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Auburn, Maine.
