Generation No. 2

2.	Solomon WIBEL was born around 1814 in Pennsylvania. He later moved to Ohio and married the former Rosannah MILLS on 19 November 1837 in Knox Co., Ohio. She was born around 1818 in Ohio. They had seven children together. No exact birth or death information is currently available.

3.	Sally WIBEL no information is currently known. Family history noted that her married name was ROHER, but no birth, marriage and/or death records are available.

George WIBEL was born around 1816 in Pennsylvania. He was of Pennsylvania dutch ancestory and was a captain on a ship that served in the Erie Canal. He was married to the former Harriet TAYLOR on 25 July 1850 in Miami County, Indiana. She was born around 1830 in Indiana. According to the family knowledge, both died rather young. They did have one son during their marriage. The date and/or place of their death is currently unknown. According to the death certificate of their son John, obtained from the Wells County Department of Health in Bluffton, Indiana, his parents were Levi WIBEL and Nancy TAYLOR of Indiana.

John Nelson WIBEL was born 25 May 1851 in Indiana. After the untimely death of his parents, he lived with several different families. He finally settled in with his uncle, Solomon Wibel, near Peru, Indiana. John later met and married the former Margaret J. MILLS, daughter of John MILLS and Mary NASH, on 23 December 1873 in Wells County, Indiana. She was born on 5 May 1856 in Indiana. They lived on the Tocsin Road, Wells County, Indiana on a farm with 140 acres. Together they had five children. Both John and Margaret were beloved in their community and were faithful members of the Pugney United Brethren Church in Wells County. Margaret passed away on 26 February 1932. According to the obituary in the Evening News Banner on Wednesday, December 28, 1938 (pg1, col4), John passed away on 28 December 1938 at his home. Both are buried in the Murray Cemetery, Murray, Lancaster Twp., Wells Co., Indiana.

Generation No. 4

13.	Mary Viola WIBEL or "Lola" as she was called was born on 4 December 1874 in Lancaster Township, Wells Co., Indiana. She later married Frank L. WASSON on 15 June 1893 in Wells Co., Indiana. Together they had four children. Frank was born on 12 March 1872 and passed away on 25 December 1938. Mary died on 30 September 1947. Both are buried in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana.

	18.	i.	Marie G. WASSON was born 1 July 1894 and died 2 August 1953.
	19.	ii.	Laverne WASSON was born 23 August 1898 and died 22 December 1969.

	21.	iv.	Mary Margaret WASSON was born 14 August 1915 and died 21 September 1988.

14.	William Forest WIBEL was born on 27 September 1878. He was part of Company D, 160th Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers during the Spanish American War. William died 11 August 1903 and is buried in the Murray Cemetery, Murray, Lancaster Township, Wells Co., Indiana.

Lewis Everett WIBEL was born on 11 January 1882. He married Emma Dee GARTON, daughter of Marion O. GARTON and Nancy Matilda WILKEN, on 12 July 1905 in Wells Co., Indiana. Together they had four children. The marriage later ended in divorce. Emma passed away on 3 October 1975 in Meadowvale Care Center, Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana and was buried on 6 October 1975 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana. Lewis later remarried to Jessie L. PETTY. This was the second marriage for both, Jessie was first married to Fred SNOW. Jessie was born 11 January 1882 and passed away 24 October 1965. Lewis died on 24 October 1965 in the Clinic Hospital, Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana. He was buried on 27 October 1965. Both Lewis and Jessie are in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana.

	22.	i.	Lawrence Maxwell WIBEL was born 29 October 1906. He died 26 Oct 1971 in Lakeport, Lake Co., California. Buried 29 October 1971 in Hartley Cemetery, Lakeport, California. He married Bertha Margaret GRAY. She was born 15 March 1905 and died December 1971 in Lakeport, Lake Co., California.

16.	Florence Estella WIBEL was born on 30 June 1886. She was married to Arley Hiram FRY on 27 February 1907 in Wells Co., Indiana. Arley passed away on 9 August 1954 and Florence died on 9 August 1965. Both are buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana.

Albert Ray WIBEL was born 15 Jul 1891 in Wells County, Indiana. He was married on 29 October 1910 to the former Floa L. EICHHORN, daughter of David EICHHORN and Mary GRIFFIN. Floa was born on 29 Nov 1889 in Indiana. Together they had four children. According to the obituary listed in the Evening News Banner on Thursday, May 28, 1936 (pg1, col8), Albert passed away due to complications with surgery in removing tonsils, at the age of 44 years old on 27 May 1936 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She passed away on 15 December 1964. Both Albert and Floa are buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian, Indiana.

Generation No. 5

22.	Lawrence Maxwell WIBEL was born on 29 October 1906 in Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana. He later married Bertha Margaret GRAY. Bertha was born on 15 March 1905. Lawrence passed away on October 1971 in Lakeport, Lake Co., California. He was buried 29 October 1971 in Hartley Cemetery, Lakeport, California. Bertha died on December 1971 in Lakeport, Lake Co., California.

Kathryn Margaret WIBEL was born on 2 August 1909 in Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana. She married Frederick Louis ASHBAUCHER on 20 November 1930 in People's Church, Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan. He was born on 13 June 1902 in Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana. Kathryn passed away on 4 July 1990 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana. He died on 5 February 2000. Both are buried in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Wells Co., Indiana.

Joseph Lorin WIBEL, Sr. was born on 7 March 1915 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. He married the former Wanda Susanna MANGAS, daughter of Don Elvin MANGAS and Vera Susanna MCFARLAND, on 3 October 1935 in Portland, Jay Co., Indiana. She was born on 9 October 1916 in Salamonia, Jay Co., Indiana. Both were baptized on 30 March 1947 in Federated Presbyterian Church, Quincy, Michigan. Together they had three children. The couple divorced in 1959 in Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan. Joseph remarried on 27 June 1959 to Andree STANLEY, who was born on 27 September 1928 in France. They later divorce around 1964-65. She later passed away in July 1986 in Mexico. Joseph passed away on 30 September 1987 in Crossville, Cumberland Co., Tennessee. Wanda died on 13 October 1989 in Crossville, Cumberland Co., Tennessee. Both are buried in Green Acres Memorial Cemetery, Crossville, Cumberland Co., Tennessee.

26.	Kenneth K. WIBEL was born on 19 December 1910 in Indiana. He passed away on 22 August 2001 and is buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian, Wells Co., Indiana.

Leroy Eichorn WIBEL was born 15 December 1912 in Wells County, Indiana. He lived in East Lancaster, Wells County, Indiana as a child and later the family moved to the southside of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He dropped out of school because he was needed to work on the Eichhorn farm owned by his Aunt Pearl and Uncle John. Aunt Pearl was his mother's (Floa Eichhorn) sister. Leroy used to ride his bicycle fro mthe southside of Fort Wayne to the farm that was located south of the East Rockcreek School on the west side of State Road 303. Leroy held the high jump record for many years in the Fort Wayne school system. When he was older he was in the semi-finals of the golden glove regionals. When Leroy's Uncle John passed away, the Wibel family moved into this country farm. This is where Leroy met his future wife, Verda Alice RABER, as she was working that summer for Mertle Houtz and Leroy was working across the road on the Eichhorn farm. He later married the former Verda Alice RABER, daughter of Marion C. RABER and Edith Esther JOHNSON of Indiana on 4 May 1935 in Uniondale, Indiana. Verda was born on 22 May 1913 in Indiana. Together they had three children. He passed away on 17 May 1986 in Bluffton, Indiana. She passed away on 27 July 1993 in Marion, Indiana. Both Leroy and Verda are buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian, Indiana.

28.	William L. WIBEL was born on 29 May 1914. He married the former Gertrude KUSSMAUL. Together they had two children. William passed away on 23 October 1993 in Cartersville, Bartow Co., Georgia.
