These two maps show the commecial airline path and the bush plane path.

Hopefully, the GPS device I have will properly record distance travelled. When I get to Fairbanks, AK I will post the estimated distance here.

Well, according to the GPS the distance from Minneapolis to Fairbanks is around 2300 miles. I am very confident of that number. Interestingly, the flight went more westerly as if it were going to Anchorage then did a turn North to Fairbanks. The plan circled around, flew within visual range of Poker Flats (AGS), and landed into Fairbanks coming from the Northeast.

You will notice a dotted horizontal line just below 66 degees and 44 minutes. That is the Arctic Circle.
