We here at ShadowPDF are great fans of all pulps. One of the best was that adventurer supreme, Doc Savage. Along with his amazing crew, Doc spanned the globe looking for adventure ... and trouble, righting wrongs and punishing evil doers.
Of course, the best thing about Doc is that Bantam Books dedicated decades to reprinting all of the Man of Bronze's adventures. If you're like us, you've spent almost as many decades collecting the Bantam books, reading and enjoying them. Also, if you're like us, you haven't been able to get all of them.
We're missing what are probably the hardest and most expensive books to get. The Doubles. In particular, we are missing 119/120, 121/122, and 123/124. Each of these can go for $50 or more in Good condition. That's a little rich for our blood, so we have decided to give Doc and his crew the ShadowPDF treatment.
Of course we know that there are other PDFs out there for these and other Doc stories, but we feel that our treatment of the material is worth a look. And whether or not you want to download them, we wanted to make them for our own reading pleasure.
Like our Shadow stories [no longer available online], we certainly could not have done this alone. We thank Tom Stephens profusely for generously supplying interior artwork and captions for these six stories which we will be posting over the coming months.
