October 24, 2002 Teen Activity Grant Awarded to the Clay Street Computer Learning Center

The Center has been awarded a Teen Activity Grant for 2003 from the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks. The grant was awarded by County Executive Janet S. Owens at a ceremony at the Arundel Center. As stated by County Executive Owens: "These grants are based on a partnership between the community and government."

 

 

September 1, 2002 Clay Street Center Resumes Normal After-School Program

The Center is now offering its normal after-school program Monday-Friday. During the day, the Center's computer and Internet resources are available for use by adults in the community. This follows an exciting program that the Center conducted that included activities such as:

 

 

July, 2002 Funding for fiscal year 2003

The Center has been fortunate to have received funding for fiscal year 2003 (July 1, 2002-June30, 2003) through the following grants:

  • City of Annapolis
  • Community Development Block Grant
  • Chesapeake Bay Trust
  • Microenterprise grant from the State of Maryland, in conjunction with the Community Action Agency of Anne Arundel County.

These grants will allow the Center to continue its operation into 2003.
