Sailboat Racing and Training

During the Center's 2002 summer camp program, youngsters from the Clay Street area participated in a day of actual sailboat racing on the Bay. Sponsored by Kids-on-Boats and supported by members of the Severn Sailing Association, the day consisted of a series of formally conducted sailboat races on the Severn River. The competition included not only participants from the Clay Street Computer Learning Center, but also other groups from the greater Baltimore-Washington area.

At the end of the summer, the youngsters will also receive formal training by the Kids-on-Boats organization during several days at their facilities in Alexandria, VA.
