Mary Loughry Died Oct. 30th, 1849 in the evening

[Possibly Margaret Chambers Loughry who was married to William Loughry III]

When death the king of terrors came she expressed no regrets. She was ready and willing to go at her masters bidding. And Aunt Sally Loughry who is herself a sincere Christian told me the last words she heard distinctly from her were the blessed words which non but the Christian dair utter in that solemn hour: “All is well! All is well!”

Margaret Loughry consort of John Died Dec 18th, 1849

[Margaret Loughry is mentioned as the wife of John Loughry on page 42 of Julia Jewett’s book “The Loughry Family of Pennsylvania” with the same date of death.]

Aunt Margaret suffered for several months previous to her death. Her disease was of the heart. She also had a stroke, but had recovered partially and was thought to be getting better. The day she died she ate some dinner, and fell asleep. I hope in Jesus.

Nancy Martin died July 1849

I have never heard the particulars of Aunt Nancy’s death.

Remarks

This in one year have a other and two Aunts been called to thru long hours. The greatest consolation I have in this time, is that afforded by the Chrisitan Religion! Which furnishes me with the blessed hope that it I live the life of the Christian my death may also be like his, and that thru living and dying I may again meet them in Heaven when there are joys forever more.
