Welcome to Tomariken Yoga and Fitness.  Chris Miyachi is a long time athlete, fitness enthusiast and yoga practitioner.  She brings her training philosophy of alignment and knowledge of anatomy to every class.  Chris is a certified level 2 kettlebell training with IKFF and she is a certified yoga teacher (RTY 500 hours) who has been teaching since 2006. She completed Iyengar Teacher Training in 2011 and is working to be a certified Iyengar teacher.  Chris is an ACE and AFAA certified instructor (since 1987!) with over five years of barre experience.  

Yoga Ropes Classes, Santosha Yoga and Wellness, - Tuesdays 4:30-5:25 PM

Santosha is proud to be one of few studios in New Hampshire to have a rope wall for yoga practice! In the Iyengar method, working on the ropes is called Yoga Kurunta, which translates as ‘yoga puppet.’ Using a rope wall will offer ways to anchor the body and deeply lengthen while freeing up other parts to experience an asana like never before.

Barre Classes, Santosha Yoga and Wellness, Tuesdays 5:30-6:25 PM

Barre Class uses a variety of graceful movement patterns inspired by resistance training, pilates, dance, and yoga.  Each class, set to motivating music, works the upper body, the lower body, and the core, and incorporates stretching throughout the workout. 

Restorative Yoga and Pranayama, Santosha Yoga and Wellness, Tuesdays 6:30-7:25 PM

In this class we will use asana practice to clear the nervous system and ready the body to receive the effects of pranayama.  This class is for both people with injuries or just coming back to yoga, but is also for those of us with high stress and pushing throughout the day.
