Licks
in E-Sixth Harmonies-Lesson 1
This exercise focuses on harmonies based around intervals of
sixths. This style of licks are very popular in blues and add
kind of a jazzy feel to the progression. This is due to the
melodic nature of the harmonies. The first set of harmonies
revolve around the major third scale and fourth scale degrees
of the chord being played over. The last exercise will focus
on the major 6th and flatted seventh scale degrees.
The
licks that follow are played at the same time as second two
bar lick from the last exercise.
