Beginnings Dynamic Prenatal Education Materials

Beginnings Dynamic Prenatal Education Materials

I have been familiar with these materials for several years, and have had the honor of reviewing them for Diane and Sandra.
You can order a free preview copy http://www.prenataled.com/copyreq.htm to see for yourself, as works cannot explain the value of these materials.
The Laurel Burch logo first caught my eye, as I was familiar with her work from my  years in California.  I of course have several pairs of her beautiful earrings, that are over 20 years old. These logos are threaded through the Beginnings Prenatal packets, taking on various variations of pregnant women.
As you delve into these materials, you see the breadth and richness. Very critical prenatal information is presented in a clear and interesting format. Hand drawn photos and lovely black and white photos  by Harriette Hartigan highlights the points being made. For example, footprints of various size developing babies are threaded through the booklets, at appropriate times. Harriette Hartigan's work is very famliar to those in the birth community.
The packet is divided into six booklets, appropriate for different times during a pregnancy, and providing 96 pages of valuable information. This allows for families who read the books to absorb only what is essential for the time period being talked about, and also provide them with ideas for questions to ask their health care provider. Each book includes key warning signs, and explanations that are simple and to the point. The books also promote a woman learning to trust her inner core, her instinct.  There are also cross references to topics to come or topics already covered.
Book  # 1 First Trimester (20 pages)
Book  # 2 4th month (12 pages)
Book  # 3 5th month (12 pages)
Book  # 4  6th month (12 pages)
Book  # 5 Third Trimester (20 pages)
Book # 6 Post Partum and Infant Care (20 pages)
Each book cover has a different Laurel Burch graphic, representing the mother and her baby.  Also included for each client is: A folder, warning signs card, and  key messages poster.
Beginnings represents the ultimate in educational materials that are respectful of all levels of learning and practice. The information provided is accurate, culturally respectful, and reasonably priced. The series is also respectful of all types of providers who provide health care, such as midwives and physicians. These materials can be handed out in your office, mailed to your clients, or used with other educational promotions.  For example, if you have early pregnancy classes, these would make a valuable handout, which would promote your practice. I teach preconception classes, and will be using these materials, along with others to provide information to those that attend.
There is a Spanish version available for your Spanish Speaking clients. I highly recommend you request your personal review copy and then order these for your practice. You can find out more about this at
