Dorothy Graves, a local artist, has lived in Wrentham for the past 50 years. She received her art training at the Museum School at the Museum of Fine Arts and Massachusetts College of Art. She also has studied with individual artists throughout her life and continues to study painting. She teaches painting at the Wrentham Senior Center and at KPRHS Adult Education Program, and has exhibited and won awards for oil and watercolor paintings. She has sold many paintings to private collectors in Wrentham and throughout the USA.

For the past few years, she has done many paintings of Wrentham which have also been made into prints and cards which are available at Doherty's Flower Shop and Gallery in Wrentham Center. In addition to local subject matter, she also enjoys painting portraits, flowers, animals, and areas around the world which she has visited. Although she often works in watercolor, she also works in oil and pastel.

Dorothy is past-president of the Foxboro Art Association and is a member of the Attleboro Museum and Partners in Art in Wrentham. Besides her interest in art, she has served on the Board on Assessors in Wrentham for the last 11 years and on the Council on Aging for the past 9 years.
