REASSURANCE LINE

A little lonesome? If you are home bound, you might like a daily phone call to help you keep in touch. The telephone reassurance line helps homebound elders stay connected. As we age, getting out and meeting with friends and family can be difficult, but the telephone can help remove barriers to staying in touch.

You will have the opportunity to talk about how your day is going and how you are feeling. We provide you with a vital connection to another person who is genuinely interested in your life.

The Reassurance Line has been established to give elders in need of daily contact a telephone call each weekday morning. Volunteers call the participants daily to be sure they are fine and will report to the proper agency if there is no response when they call. For information on becoming a member of the Reassurance Line, please call the Senior Center. (508) 384-5425.
