Volunteer Opportunities

The Wissinoming PAL Center is part of the Philadelphia Police Athletic League (PAL). PAL provides Free after school sports and education activities for children ages 5 to 18. High School and College student volunteers are needed to help with various programs at the Wissinoming PAL
Center. Volunteers are need for:

Coaching and assisting with youth sports leagues for children ages 5 to 13: soccer, flag football, foot hockey, basketball, baseball & wiffleball (no prior sports experience is necessary) (6:00 to 9:00pm)

After school homework tutoring for grade school students. (3:00 to 6:00pm)
Positive Images Girl's Club and Girl's Night (Mondays 6:00 - 9:00pm Female volunteers needed)
Games Days, Open Basketball and GameRoom- Tuesdays and Thursdays the gym and game room are open for free play and "Pickup" games. Wiffle Ball, Double Dutch, Flag football, Soccer and Foot Hockey games are scheduled. (3:00 to 6:00pm) Volunteers are needed to help moderate gym activities.
There are volunteer opportunities available at Wissinoming PAL Center all week long. Volunteers can help out as little as 1 to 2 hours a week to make a huge difference.
