In 2004 we upgraded our computer control system to Light-O-Rama (LOR). Light-O-Rama
is a computerized lighting system designed to control elaborate lighting
displays. For 2004 we were using 5 LOR controller boards to control 48 channels. Each channel controls a group of
lights and gives us the capability of applying special effects such as lights on, lights off, fade up, fade down, set intensity
(dimming level), twinkle, and many more lighting effects.
We are now using over 112 light channels, plus the DMX control, and a HD quality projector for the Video Screen.
All this works with the use of the Light-O-Rama PC software and other custom software, which allows us to design our
light show and synchronize it to music and video. Which is then broadcast over our low power
FM radio station.
We also incorporate about 18 X-10 modules inside and outside to control our outdoor static
displays, and our indoor christmas lighting and Tree. Allowing us to turn them on and off as well as dim them.
All this to control over 75,000 lights.
All that is required to connect
the computer to the controllers is a standard Ethernet cable. Here
is a simplified diagram as how the system works.

We built several control boxes to go
outside which house our LOR circuits and our X-10 Modules.

Music is broadcast over our low power FM
transmitter and antenna.
